A long needed update. - Journal
Date: 27th July 2025, 17:07:22
The following originated from my FurAffinity journal
section. It's here for archival purposes.
Hello! Hope you've had a good day!
I have finally gotten around to updating things. Especially my FurAffinity page
and Submission Information, as it contained very outdated information. Here's a
changelog!
1. Updated my age, which hasn't been updated in ~2 years.
2. Removed every mention of my defunct Carrd portfolio (yourpalaxl.carrd.co) and
replaced it with a newer, and more retro website created with Microsoft
FrontPage (yourpalaxl.github.io).
8. Changed website field to show yourpalaxl.github.io.
3. Removed mentions of deprecated social media webpages from my submission
information.
4. Added a deprecation tag to my defunct social media pages, on my profile
information.
5. Added BlueSky tag to submission and profile information.
6. Added DeviantArt tag to profile information.
7. Changed the mention of "London Time Zone" to be more specific. It has now
been changed to "UTC+1"
I will also be cleaning up my folders, to allow visitors who want to view a
certain topic to get to it easier.
Now, about my stop on the information superhighway. So why did I make the jump
to Github pages? Well when a website builder is constrained by modern "design
standards", a lot of freedom and creativity is lost. Especially when it comes to
things like Carrd. I wanted freedom. I wanted as much freedom as what things
like GeoCities had given you in terms of designing your website, when you were
free to express your creativity. It was then I was told about the services
Neocities and Github Pages. After trying them both, I had decided to stick with
Github Pages. With my love of retro, I decided to get to using Microsoft
FrontPage on my old Windows XP machine. Where I made a retro themed website to
show my art, and my other stuff properly, without constraints.
As I keep forgetting that my BlueSky exists, I will be working on trying to post
to BlueSky more.
As for Commissions and YCHs, they are still open as of 27/07/2025! Be sure to
check

Commission tab on my FurAffinity page for more information!
